Public Notice:

This is a traffic advisory from the Province of Nova Scotia. On Saturday, October 28, paving will be done at James Street and Trunk 4 (the former HWY 104).

Temporary traffic measures will be in place. Where delays are expected, motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination and consider an alternative route. Motorists and pedestrians should travel with caution when entering the work areas.

Should any issues arise, residents are advised to call the NS Public Works Operations Contact Centre at 1-844-696-7737.

Please be advised that the Town of Antigonish will conduct fall hydrant flushing within the Town and fringe areas from Tuesday, October 31 to Thursday, November 2. This work will be taking place during daytime and evening hours. 

Water utility customers may experience low water pressure and/or water discoloration while this work is taking place.

The Town of Antigonish apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please be advised there will be paving work on College Street on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 weather permitting. This work is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m.

Please be advised the Town of Antigonish will be conducting sewer cleaning from October 23 to October 27 in various locations around the Town. Temporary traffic measures will be in place. 

While the risk of backflow into homes is very low, residents are advised to keep toilet seat covers down whenever possible during this work period as a precaution. If residents experience an unpleasant odor, run water into each drain to refill the plumbing traps.
