2024 Call For Submissions
The Town of Antigonish is pleased to partner with Antigonish Culture Alive (ACA) on the Antigonish Public Art Program. The Town and ACA are seeking submissions for the new Public Art Commission. This is a province wide competition for professional artists as defined by Canada Council Guidelines.
This is an exciting opportunity to create public artwork, that will elevate Antigonish and its growth as a cultural hub within Northeastern Mi'kma'ki (Nova Scotia). The artist(s) selected will collaborate with local arts council, ACA, during the concept, production, and final installation phases of the project. The purpose of this mural is to enhance the quality of life for citizens of Antigonish and promote local artists and their work.
This year, thanks to an incredible donation from Scotiabank, the Town, along with the the Municipality of the County of Antigonish, is building a mini-pitch by the schools on Appleseed Drive, creating a wonderful space for a mural! The artist will be responsible for creating a design that will cover two goal boards and goal posts at both ends of the pitch. For details, please read the pdf 2024 Mural Art Application. (489 KB)
