Residential Services
Waste & Recycling
Curbside collection of garbage and organic green cart material takes place every two weeks with the collection of recyclables on the alternate week.
Never miss your curbside pickup by downloading the free Eastern Nova Scotia app to your Apple or Android phone. You can schedule notification reminders the night before your waste pick up schedule.

Power Hook Ups & Bill Payments
The Town accepts payment for all bills, tickets, recreation program registrations both in-person and online. To find out how best to process your payment, click here.
Service Connections - Service contracts must be signed before power hook up can be arranged. Contracts can be picked up in person at Town Hall or you can contact the Town at 902-863-2351 to have one emailed to you. Connections take 1-3 days to complete. You will be required to make a security deposit equal to 3 months of estimated usage before the connection will take place.
Service Disconnections - To disconnect power, contact the Town at 902-863-2351 to provide the date you would like power disconnected and a forwarding address for the final bill.

Parking
The Town has a variety of free and metered parking spaces on the street and public parking lots. For a full list of parking lot locations, fees, EV Stations and HotSpot Parking options, click here.
If you have received a parking ticket and are looking for options for payment, click here.
Each year the Town institutes its Winter Parking Ban from December 1 to April 15. The Winter Parking Ban is in effect from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m. on all Town owned Streets and parking lots. Any vehicle found to be in violation during this time period can be ticketed and towed at the owners’ expense.
