The Town's Marketing Levy By-Law plays a crucial role in supporting various initiatives aimed at promoting our vibrant community and attracting visitors to our town as outlines in our new pdf Antigonish Tourism Strategy (595 KB) . This by-law imposes a three per cent marketing levy on fixed roof accommodation booked within the Town of Antigonish.
Remitting Payment
Accomodation owners are required to remit the levy money collected to the Town by the 15th day of each month. There a number of payment methods available.
Cheque, Cash or Debit
Payments can be made by cheque, cash, or debit at Town Hall, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cheques can also be mailed to Town Hall at 274 Main Street, Antigonish, N.S. B2G 2C4.
Online Payments
Online payments are also accepted. Please follow the steps below to make an online payment:
1. To begin, add a new Payee.
2. Type in Antigonish and hit search.
3. Select the option that matches your bank. Review the list below to see how each bank displays the Town as a Payee. 
4. To complete the payment, you will need to add the proper account number. All account numbers have eight digits. If you already have the Town added as a payee, you can edit the account number depending on what payment you are trying to make. To make payment for the Marketing Levy, the account number is 77777777.
Credit Card & Debit Card Payments
The Town uses Paymentus to process Visa and Master Card and debit card payments. Please note that Paymentus charges a service fee of 2.5% to users . The Town of Antigonish does not receive any part of the service fee.
To make a payment using Paymentus:
1. Visit the Paymentus online portal, by clicking here.
2. You will then be prompted by the online window to give your payment information including your credit card or debit card information.
3. You will be asked to confirm payment and then you will receive a confirmation number to indicate the transaction was successful.
Remittance Form
A Remittance Form must be completed and submitted along with the payment.
