The Town of Antigonish, Municipality of the County of Antigonish and the Antigonish Chamber of Commerce are pleased to come together to present the third annual Antigonish By Choice Shop Local Campaign.
We know this has been a challenging year for all types of businesses. We understand, that now, more than ever, we need to support local. Our goal is to encourage and empower the residents of Antigonish to support the businesses that make Antigonish a strong, diverse and vibrant community.
This year we are changing the format of the campaign to let you take ownership while creating more inclusive opportunities for everyone to be involved.
Antigonish By Choice Shop Local Campaign 2020:
The campaign will run from November 27 to December 24. Businesses will all be given an ‘Antigonish By Choice’ decal to post in their store window or door to indicate their participation. This year, you can customize your shop local offer that will bring shoppers into your store. The incentive can remain the same throughout the campaign, be tied to existing offers or change weekly.
Incentive ideas include creating an in-store prize draw, BOGO sales, tax-free items, savings on large purchases, extended hours, percentage off certain items, etc.
You will have your business’ incentive promoted on the Chamber of Commerce website and the Antigonish By Choice Facebook Page throughout the Campaign.
As part of the campaign, the host partners will be doing an extensive digital advertising campaign which includes social media features on participating businesses. In addition, a radio campaign will encourage shoppers to look for the Antigonish By Choice window decals for special offers when doing their holiday shopping. Those who are interested in receiving a decal must fill out an application by November 23 at 4:30 p.m. Decals will be delivered by November 27..
Retail stores, hair salons, nail technicians, tattoo artists, massage therapists, personal service businesses, artisans, restaurants, hotels, crafters, are all welcome to participate.
