The Town of Antigonish and the Municipality of the County of Antigonish have begun preparations for our community’s annual Canada Day celebrations. The Town and County are proud to partner together in creating an itinerary of events for all ages to enjoy.
The day will begin with a free pancake breakfast at St. Ninian’s Place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
The County will then host an afternoon of family fun and entertainment at the St. Andrew Junior School from 12 to 4 p.m.
The evening celebrations at Columbus Field begin at 7 p.m. with free entertainment and the official ceremonies. As part of the official ceremonies will be the presentation of the Volunteer of the Year Awards.
While we hope to have our fireworks included in our celebrations, we are closely monitoring the province’s Burn Regulations and Restrictions. A final decision regarding fireworks will be made as the date gets closer.
There will be accessible parking in the Club 60 parking lot for the evening celebrations.
Stay tuned to the Town's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/townofantigonish/ for more information leading up to July 1st.
