On Monday, November 20, 2023, Antigonish Town Council gave First Reading to a new Marketing Levy By-Law.

The purpose of the by-law is to impose a marketing levy upon persons who, for a daily charge, fee or remuneration purchase accommodation within the Town.

The Town intends to consider, and if deemed appropriate, give second and final reading to adopt the Marketing Levy By-Law at the next regular council meeting on December 18, 2023 at 6 p.m.
