Please be advised that the Town expects to move to voluntary water conservation measures starting next week.
The continuing hot weather is beginning to impact the water levels at the James River Dam, and there is no significant rainfall projected over the next two weeks.
At this time, conservation measures are not yet in place, but the Town expects a move to voluntary conservation measures starting next week.
Therefore, as a precaution, we are encouraging our customers to use water wisely where possible. The Town of Antigonish will continue to closely monitor the watershed conditions and associated weather forecasts for possible changes.
The Town of Antigonish apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
