With significant rainfall in the forecast for Wednesday, August 30, residents are reminded of to check your property to mitigate any potential flooding impacts. Make sure basement windows and doors are secured and any storm drains or ditches are cleared from debris. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding, which can occur without warning.
The Town’s Public Works Crew has been busy checking and clearing catch basins and will be monitoring key locations where localized flooding may occur.
Motorists are reminded to please drive with caution during periods of heavy rain as water pooling and wet surfaces can become hazardous.
If required, the Town will share updates and notices throughout tomorrow’s weather event on social media and with local radio.
