This the first time in Canada that business and government have come together in this way to offer a comprehensive, online bundle of services.

The Town of Antigonish, along with Service Nova Scotia and other pilot partners, have identified more than 40 provincial and municipal licences and permits required by restaurants and accommodations.

A priority of the project is finding ways to eliminate needless duplication of licence and permit applications by using online tools and leveraging the Canada Revenue Agency Business Number. This will allow businesses to satisfy multiple government requirements with just one online stop.

The restaurant and accommodations industry is one of our region’s strongest economic drivers. By making it easier for owners and operators to interact efficiently with government, the project will support businesses, improve their competitiveness, and strengthen Nova Scotia’s economy.
