Skatepark Rules for Use During COVID-19

The Antigonish All-Wheels Skatepark has been re-opened as of Wednesday, June 3, 2020 under new guidelines. The guidelines were developed to keep social distancing practices in mind while also ensuring everyone has access to the Skatepark.

The fencing will remain in place and the Skatepark will have one entry and one exit point. A numbered tag system is being introduced to limit the number of people who can use the Skatepark at one time. You are responsible for monitoring their own time to ensure that everyone can get a turn.

During busy times you are reminded to limit your time to one hour so someone else can have a turn. If you arrive at the Skatepark and there are already 10 tags taken, please wait your turn. Parents and guardians who want to be inside the fenced area must also take a tag.

The benches have been enclosed in the Skatepark area and are only accessible to people on the Skatepark. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit outside the fenced area to watch children play. A hand sanitizer station has been installed and the Town encourages everyone who visits the Skatepark to sanitize their hands often.

Skatepark Community Rules:

  • Take a numbered tag and attach it somewhere that is visible on your clothing, bike or scooter.
  • For safety, only 10 people can be on the Skatepark at one time.
  • When the Skatepark is busy, limit your time to 1 hour so others can have a turn.
  • When your hour is up, please return the tag so someone else can have a turn.
  • Be sure to use hand sanitizer often. If no tag is available, please wait your turn.
  • Spectators who are helping riders must take a tag to be inside the fenced area.
  • Be Safe & Have Fun!
