The Town of Antigonish is pleased to announce that Council has successfully hired an interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to fill the role soon to be vacated by outgoing CAO Jeff Lawrence. Marvin MacDonald will begin his role as the Interim CAO in late January. “Marvin brings with him a wealth of municipal and leadership experience, having dedicated 20 years working for the NS Department Municipal Affairs and serving as CAO for the District of St. Mary’s for six years,” says Town Mayor Laurie Boucher.
“I am excited to begin my tenure at the Town, to support council, meet the staff, and get to know the community more,” says MacDonald. “Stepping into the CAO position, even on an interim basis, my goal is to make a meaningful contribution to the Town in this time of transition.”
“We would like to express our gratitude to Jeff for his dedicated service to the Town over the past eight years. His commitment and contributions have played a pivotal role in shaping the community,” says Mayor Boucher. “We thank him for his hard work and dedication and wish him all the best in his new role as the CAO for the Town of Kentville. “
