The water break has been repaired and water is being restored to the affected areas. Low water pressure and water discolouration may persist for another hour. If discolouration continues, run your cold water for a few minutes until the water clears.

The Town of Antigonish is advising residents of a water main break on Highland Drive.

Residents in the following areas may experience low to no water pressure and water discoloration until repairs are complete: 

• Highland Drive
• Cedar Terrace
• Nicholson Court
• Braemore Avenue (from the bridge to Highland)
• St. Ninian Street (from Highland to Hillcrest Street)
• West Street from St. Ninian to James Street 
• Archie Street
• MacKinnon Street
• MacDonald Street
• Fatima Street

Temporary traffic control measures will be in place. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when entering the work area.
