The Town of Antigonish thanks all residents and businesses for their cooperation with the recent voluntary water conservation measures.
As of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, the dam began spilling following significant overnight rainfall. Water levels continue to rise as runoff flows into the reservoir.
Following our water management protocol, staff have monitored conditions for 24 hours.
Based on current levels and forecasts, voluntary water conservation measures will be lifted effective at 12:00 p.m. (noon) today, July 23, 2025.
However, due to limited rainfall expected in the coming days, conservation measures may need to return at a later date.
The Town will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.
