The Municipality of the County of Antigonish, the Town of Antigonish, Responsible Energy Action, Antigonish Community Energy, Bicycle Nova Scotia, St. Francis Xavier University, and the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal have partnered up to complete a bikeway corridor study considering improvements for walking and cycling on Trunk 4 and a second to-be-determined route linking the highway to the Antigonish Landing.
Today, Antigonish Town Council approved a $10.67 million in total municipal expenditures and a capital plan of $3,087,400 as part of the 2019-2020 municipal budget.
The Town of Antigonish has modified its internal structure by implementing a new Department of Community Development.
