Recreation Facility and Recreation Needs Assessment The Municipality of the County of Antigonish and the Town of Antigonish are working together to learn more about the community’s recreation needs, now and in the future.

Housing Accelerator Fund The Town received $1.3 million to expand zoning for higher-density housing, introduce affordable housing incentives, and streamline approvals.

Antigonish Tourism Strategy A group of municipal and community partners, including the Town, are developing a tourism strategy for Antigonish.

Town Mural/Photo Program The Town of Antigonish is pleased to partner with Antigonish Culture Alive (ACA) on the Antigonish Public Art Program.

Accessible-AntigonishThe Town and Challenger Baseball have formed a new partnership to enhance accessibility at recreation facilities in our community.

Accessibility Plan The Town of Antigonish is committed to creating a safe community for everyone, including residents and visitors living with disabilities.

Physical Activity Strategy The Physical Activity Strategy sets a vision and goals for Town staff to pursue in order to positively influence opportunities for physical activity in the community.

Bay Street Capital Project The Bay Street Capital Project includes major upgrades to underground infrastructure, road conditions, and public safety.

Net Zero The Town of Antigonish is leading the way in Nova Scotia. The province has a goal to generate 80% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030, and we are already at 63 percent.

Grid Modernization The Town of Antigonish, in partnership with local and federal governments, is implementing a multi-phase project to modernize our electric utility and build a new substation.
