The Town of Antigonish would like to extend their condolences to friends and family of Susan Lorraine Eaton, age 62, of Antigonish, who recently passed away.

Susan was the Town’s Returning Officer for the last 4 municipal elections.  Her dedication to ensuring a smooth municipal election and passion for encouraging people to exercise their democratic right was well known and appreciated by the town and citizens.  Susan was also a major supporter of electronic voting as a means to encourage greater voter participation and convinced the Town Council to implement it for the upcoming municipal election.  She was looking forward to seeing this through for next year’s municipal election.  Susan will be sadly missed at the Town of Antigonish.
