Volunteer of the Year Nominations are now open! Do you know someone who is always willing to lend a helping hand and has a major impact on our community through volunteerism? The Town is now accepting nominations for Volunteer of the Year and Youth Volunteer of the Year! 

On March 26, 2025, the Nalikitquniejk – Antigonish Equity, Anti-Hate, and Anti-Racism Plan was officially approved by both the council for theTown of Antigonish. This is a joint plan with the Municipality of the County of Antigonish and reflects a shared and ongoing commitment to building a more inclusive, respectful, and equitable Antigonish for all who live, work, and visit here. 

The Town of Antigonish is pleased to share that on March 26, 2025, the Updated Accessibility Plan was approved by Council. The update comes in compliance with Nova Scotia's Accessibility Act, which requires public sector bodies to review and refresh their accessibility plans every three years. 

The Town of Antigonish is pleased to announce that a contract has been signed with CBCL Limited for the design and oversight of significant upgrades to the Antigonish Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). This initiative is valued at $464,850 plus HST and will improve the plant’s efficiency and sustainability by addressing key operational challenges.
