Starting Thursday, January 15^th, seniors will only need to dial three digits to get information they need as the province-wide 211 service will handle inquiries about senior abuse and provincial programs.

211 Nova Scotia is a confidential information and referral service for community, non-profit and government services. It has information about thousands of services, is available 24 hours a day and has interpretation services for more than 100 languages.

The Antigonish Community Transit Society is beginning a pilot project transit service that will cover the town and county of Antigonish. This service is the result of a lot of volunteer hours and community support, and we are so excited to finally be putting wheels on the road to help everyone in the town and county access services and cover distances easily, conveniently and economically. This 7 month pilot project is designed to determine the need for public transit in Antigonish by evaluating its usage. Routes serviced and vehicle capacities will be determined according to rider demand and community input!
