On Monday, March 20, 2023 Antigonish Town Council gave First Reading to the new Private Hydrant By-Law and Private Hydrant Policy.
On Friday, February 10, 2023 the Province of Nova Scotia announced that the Community Navigation and Physician Retention Services Association will receive $100,000 from the Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment Community Fund. The Association is a partnership of the Town of Antigonish, Municipality of the County of Antigonish and St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation.
A group of municipal and community partners, including representatives from the Municipality of the County of Antigonish, Town of Antigonish, St. Francis Xavier University, the Antigonish Chamber of Commerce, Destination Eastern Northumberland Shores, and Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation, is working with consultants Group ATN (GATN) in partnership with Tulle Tourism Consulting to develop a tourism strategy for Antigonish.
The Town of Antigonish and the Municipality of the County of Antigonish are pleased to announce the hiring of Maria Fraser as a Community Sport Navigator as part of a three-year pilot program with Sport Nova Scotia.
